Powergate 4 Instructions
***PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE PAGE BEFORE PROCEEDING***
Important Notices:
- If your dealer plans on doing a firmware update, you MUST flash your vehicle back to the original stock file before you take your car in for service. If they update the firmware on your ECU before you flash back to original, the Powergate will not work with your new firmware and require a reset for a fee. Tool reset fee is $250 and a new file fee ($350) is required. Please note that once a file is sent, no returns or refunds will be accepted.
- It is important that you have a strong 12 volts on your vehicle during the writing process. If a battery dies during flashing, this could result in the ECU being bricked. Please make sure to not unplug anything, have your phone die, or cause any disturbance while writing to the ECU.
- Because the Powergate 4 is wireless and uses the cloud, there is no file to submit to us. Please Upload a Screenshot of the app completion on our Upload Form Here to notify us once done.
How to Flash Your ECU with the Alientech Powergate 4
The Alientech Powergate 4 is a device that requires you to have an Android or Apple smart phone and a useable wireless connection. Each device is supplied with an OBDII cable that is necessary to connect to the vehicle so you can read/ID your ECU. This only needs to be connected during reading and writing procedure. Step 1 – When you receive the device, unbox it and scan the QR code to download the app to your phone.
Step 2 – Follow the instructions the APP guides you through.
